Exercise should fit the person.
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist uses clinically prescribed exercise to support people with disability, injury or chronic health conditions. After understanding your health, current capacity and goals, they design and adapt a program that is safe, measurable and realistic for you.
Progressive, clinically informed exercise matched to your ability and preferences.
Support that connects clinical expertise with everyday goals.
We begin with the person’s strengths, preferences, environments and what they want life to make easier. Assessment guides a practical plan that can be understood, used and reviewed.
Walk further with less fatigue
Assessment explores how to walk further with less fatigue, assessment includes looking at strengths, barriers and the support already available.
Build strength for daily tasks
Practical strategies for building strength for daily tasks are shaped around the person’s preferences, routines and everyday environments.
Exercise with more confidence
Sessions build toward being able to exercise with more confidence through relevant practice, useful supports and collaboration with the people involved.
Create a routine you can sustain
Progress toward creating a routine you can sustain through making changes that are meaningful in daily life.

Easy Read guide
A plain-English guide to Exercise Physiology and NDIS support.
How is exercise physiology different from physiotherapy?
Exercise physiology centres on active, structured exercise and long-term self-management. Physiotherapy may also use exercise, but can include hands-on assessment and treatment of movement, pain or injury. Your needs may involve one or both.
Do I need medical clearance before starting?
Your clinician will complete appropriate screening. Depending on your health history and planned activity, they may ask for clearance or information from your GP or specialist.
Do I need a referral?
You can contact Bloom directly. If you have an NDIS plan, our team can also work with your support coordinator, plan manager or other treating professionals.
Where are appointments held?
We primarily support people at home and in the community, with telehealth available when clinically appropriate. Clinic appointments may be available case by case.
Can Bloom work with my existing support team?
Yes. With your consent, we can collaborate with family, support workers, educators and other clinicians so strategies are practical and consistent.
How do I know whether my NDIS plan can fund this service?
Funding depends on whether your support relates to your disability goals and approved budget. If you have Improved Daily Living funding it is more than likely you will be able to access Exercise Physiology. Our team can discuss your individual needs.
